In 2024<\/strong>, The Deep Learning Indaba will be held in Dakar, Senegal<\/strong> from the 1st to the 7th of September<\/strong> at Amadou Mahtar Mbow university (UAM)<\/strong>.
The theme for this edition is “Xam Xaml\u00e9”<\/strong>
The term is Wolof and means ‘To gain knowledge and share it’. It is inspired by the lives and work of renowned Senegalese novelist and historian Mariama B\u00e2 and Cheikh Anta Diop. The Deep Learning Indaba was born from this principle and continues to shine the light for you to do the same. As we, at the Deep Learning Indaba, continue to grow and expand and invite new models of leadership, we invite you to do the same, to invest in yourself and your communities, to trust in your abilities and to not hesitate when called upon to share.<\/p>\n

The Indaba will feature keynote talks from thought leaders in the fields of ML\/AI and Ethics, opportunities to learn skills in practical (programming) sessions, mentorship opportunities, a two-day African Research Symposium, deep dive workshops on topics including NLP, AI in Healthcare, Reinforcement Learning, Machine Learning at the Edge, and AI Governance and Policy, and much more. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
