What does the Communities Committee do?

The communities team is the point of contact for the Indaba community to connect to other affiliated communities. This could be other African AI communities, events, developer events, or similar events from around the world. The goal is for the team to ensure that the relationships between these communities are maintained, and that the communities needs are represented at the Indaba. We also aim to ensure that we’re all finding ways to support each other and share learnings.

What can be expected at the Indaba?

We wanted to provide space to connect to the affiliated communities at the Indaba. This year, you can expect a community panel whereby we will have leaders from the communities talk about their experience creating a community and how to get involved. We also are working on a Community Hub so that you can chat to the community members during the breaks.
